Tips for creating Screening Questions

To achieve the best results from preselection, we recommend that your questions be as specific as possible and focused on key skills. (See some of our examples in the post What is Preselection – Screening Questions? Examples).

The questions you create should be related to the candidate’s experience, skills, or attitudes that are essential for the position. This will provide you with valuable insights into their qualifications early in the application process. For example, if you are looking for a programmer, you could ask about their experience working with specific technologies. It is important that the questions reflect the real challenges the candidate will face on the job, helping you quickly identify the most suitable candidates.

To encourage more responses, we suggest limiting the questionnaire to five questions per ad. This way, you avoid making the application process too burdensome for candidates.
